I am a hiring manager at Cisco's Gigabit Ethernet group in San Jose,
California. I have an immediate and permanent opening for a senior-level
signal integrity engineer. I actively work in this field, as some of you
know, and hope to find a fellow engineer who wants to work closely with me
as we move into 10-Gigabit circuitry. Attached is a job description. If
you're interested, please email me directly with your resume at

JOB DESCRIPTION
Design and analyze high speed digital circuits in Gigabit Ethernet
switching, with emphasis on the signal analysis (especially timing and
noise) of an ASIC or a printed circuit board. Model/simulate/characterize
high speed systems, including chip packages, printed circuit boards, and
system interconnects. Overcome the challenge of ultra-high data rate,
wide buses, multiple clocks, and cutting-edge technology. Seize the
opportunity for circuit design innovation when faced with the new
challenges brought by the 10 Gigabit products. Respond to the group's
strong focus on present and next-generation products with a commitment to
automated processes and tool implementations.
SKILLS
M.Sc./Ph.D. degree in EE/CS. Minimum 7 years working experience in high
speed digital circuitry. Familiarity with gigabit lab tools, SPICE and
other popular CAE tools. Awareness of the latest technology and design
tradeoffs. Self motivation, teamwork and strong communication skills.
Knowledge of network architecture a plus.
