[SI-LIST] Re: Impedance spectroscopy on the lead acid battery

Signal generator, series resistor (for current limiting) and series
capacitor (keep DC out of the generator output), o'scope with voltage
probe and current probe. Z=E/I, note any phase shift. Keep corner freq
of series RC 100 Hz or less, suggest 10 Hz. For R=50, that means a 330uF
cap, which will be electrolytic; match polarity with battery. If no
I-probe on hand, measure voltage across series resistor. Just be sure to
compute RMS over RMS, or P-P over P-P. Do the math to convert if needed,
P-P = 2 (root 2) Vrms for a sine wave.
