Suresh,
SiQual has good experience in minimizing the impedance discontinuities that
can be caused by SMA connectors. In our most recent implementation, there
was very little discontinuity shown on the TDR (32ps risetime). This can be
attributed to how we implemented the SMA breakout on the PC Board, and the
quality of the connector (Thanks Molex!)
This will be part of the subject matter we cover at the DesignCon 2002 Tech
Forum "Attention to Details: Preparing for the Transition from 2.5 to
10Gbps" held on Thursday January 31st.
We'll also be presenting a paper on comparing IBIS and HSPICE Simulations
of a 2.5Gbps LVDS Buffer. Our Booth number is 730. Come by and see us.
For DesignCon 2002 registration, go to http://www.designcon.com/2002/ .
After the show, we'll be posting papers on our website http://www.siqual.com
regards
davem
