Hello Siva,
I can help you with the first part. You can generate different data patterns
with the multi driver contention file. The mdc file specifies the times and
states of all drivers on a net. The file has the following syntax:
NET <net-name>
NODE part pin edge_control_list
NODE ...
ENDNET
The net name must be identical to the desired net name in the Topology
(.top) File. The part pin must be identical to the part/pin specifications
in the topology file. The Edge Control List is a list of time/state pairs,
separated by commas and surrounded by parentheses. For more information
about the syntax check your xtk_user.pdf, page 282. Or if you have that xtk
trainings manual page 208 and further.
Enabling multi-driver mode:
For Xtk (Unix):
- specify the .mdc file in the design control file (.xns)
example: FILES MULTIDRIVER_CONTENTION <filename>
or use menu: options > files > multi driver
- set driver mode
1) options > defaults > driver mode > multi
or 2) in design control file (xns): DEFAULTS CONTENTION_MODE MULTI_DRIVER
For Xtk (Nt):
basically the same as above, except the menu to set driver mode is slightly
different:
option > defaults > simulations tab > driver mode > multi
For Scratchpad (ePD2.0)
options > preferences > analyzer > defaults > driver mode > multi
I haven't found a way to enter the mdc file in Scratchpad. I guess that you
would have to find the xns file (<schematic_name>.xns) and add the FILES
MULTIDRIVER_CONTENTION <filename> statement. But I haven't checked that, so
I'm not 100% sure.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean with the ISI part. Maybe somebody else
can comment on that part.
Kind regards,
Wilco Hamhuis

Subject: [SI-LIST] ISI simulation in SCRATCHPAD (XTK)
Hi Gurus,
I am doing Prelayout signal integrity
analysis using Scratch pad (XTK). In scratch pad (in
simulation preferences/options) i know how to give
period and duty cycle of the stimulus. I want to force
different data patterns as stimuls. And also i want to
analyze ISI (Inter Siganl Interference) on the nets.
Can anybody suggest me the way how to do these things
in Scratchpad(XTK).
thanks and regards,
siva
