[SI-LIST] IBIS TV curves

Hi!
I saw my first IBIS model two week ago so I'm not very...."expert" but the TV 
curves falling waveform and rising waveform in the ibis spec are described as 
not required.
so what about deleting them if they contain error (e.g." TVCurve do not start 
at time zero ")?
how are used in simulation tools? for what purpose?
