One question we should be asking is, where do you look to measure the
risetime?
If you look at the PAD, then increasing trace length beyond a few inches
(round-trip delay > Tr) probably has little effect on risetime.
If you look at the end of the trace, then longer traces obviously have more
HF losses and risetime suffers.
Either location is valid, depends on your requirements.
