The Spice-to-IBIS translator actually RUNS Spice to get the curves needed
for the IBIS model.

Thus, if your Fairchild switch model is uniquely HSPICE (for example, if it
has a device model Level that only HSPICE uses) and cannot easily be made
"generic", then you will need to find someone who can run it in HSPICE, to
do that translation for you.  Once the translation is done, you won't need
access to HSPICE anymore.

I don't think there is a translator that will directly convert from a Spice
model to IBIS.

You might also inquire with Fairchild about whether they already have an
IBIS model, or perhaps a more generic Spice model.
