The message posted anonymously to the list earlier today from someone too shy to identify themselves sounds suspiciously like some kind of flame-bait troll posting. If one has a valid reason to make such accusations against a mainline tool one should have the courtesy to identify themselves as well as provide some verifiable background on the specifics prompting the accusations. In a public forum such as si-list, an even better course of action would be to refrain from making such accusations, unfounded or not against any vendor's toolset. I currently have no vested interest in Specctraquest or Cadence one way or another, however I find it difficult to believe, based on my own past experience and that of many, many other users that the tool could be classified as having little or no use for SI simulations. As others have posted, the results you get with any tool depend a lot on the user's skill in using the tool and interpreting the results (as well as the inevitable bugs inherent in any complex piece of software).
