Tori,

How does this compare to the .81 cable of samtec attached, in terms of the 3db
loss?
This is what we used earlier to perform signal integrity tests initially.
We use one end of the cable to solder to PCB.
Since it is really small , very flexible connecting to the sma does not
cause solder to break off.
Also the photos of the cable you have suggested looks very wide like a ribbon.

Thanks,
Pam

Pam,

Check out our RF25M series:
http://samtec.com/technical_specifications/overview.aspx?series=rf25m .
Itâ??s a low loss cable that has an outside diameter of 1.9mm compared to the
RG316 diameter of 2.53mm.  We offer both the SMA plug and bulkhead jack as
terminations.

If you think this will work, configure a part number from the prints at the
above link and I can get you some samples.

Thanks,

Hi ,

Can any recommend a co-axial cable that has low losses like the RG 316\(100
ohms diff. impedance) , yet the size of overall dia. needs to be min. (very
flexible) with sma connector connected.
Samtec's MH081 cable with sma connector is good except the attenuation db/m is
almost double of the RG316.

Thanks,

Pam
