Sunil,

Multi-Giga Hz IBIS model is very much possible now with IBISv4.1 using
the multi-lingual extension (VHDL-AMS). We have demonstrated this with
3.125Gbps SerDes with excellent lab correlation. See:

Most vendors give your HSPICE models because that is all they are
familiar with currently. But that may not be the solution to use if you
are doing post layout simulations etc. We are pushing this modeling
scheme to higher datarates as we speak.
