[SI-LIST] Re: FW: [IBIS-Users] Using IBIS models for VDDdroop & Ground Bounce

Follow Up Questions.

This is about the presentation koller.pdf mentioned in this email.
From the figures this is what I believe they are. They look so similar
to curves found in CMOS design books. Based on that,

On Page 7, bottom figure..

1. Blue curves are Ids/Vds curves for the pull-down device (NMOS) for
three seperate gate voltage settings.(These are NOT min-max-typ curves)
2. Red curves are Ids/Vds curves for pull-up device (PMOS) for three
seperate gate voltage(but same as 1.) settings.
3. The points of intersection are the values of cross-bar current. Thus
first point of intersection has blue curve(NMOS) in saturation and red
curve(PMOS) in linear which makes sense.

Now, my questions are a. Am I correct? b. If I am, then how does one
obtain the 3 curves from IBIS models?

Could someone please shed some light on this?

Thank you.

Abhijit.
