Could anyone advise on the following with regard to embedded =
capacitors;-
1. How much capacitance per mm2 can I expect ? I believe here that the =
key to this is how thin one can get the substrate. Any takers on this =
one ? I have seen the figure of 50 microns crop up a lot for thick film =
hybrids using embedded capacitors but I would like to know if this can =
be improved on? If 50 microns is the limit then the size of capacitors =
(surface area) is quite large (100 pF comes out at about 7.5 x 7.5 mm =
using Er 10 substrate).
2. What are the typical tolerances like for these components
3. What cost does this technology incur ?
Thanks in advance
