Dear All,
I use Electrolytic capacitors to cater the voltage dip .
I assume there shouldnt be a problem increasing the number of
capacitors to meet the total capacitance requirement.
Does the lead inductance of an electrolytic capacitor has any role to play.
Hence my assumption is if i use 3 capacitors / 7 capacitors for
example on the supply planes , it doesnt make a difference. Or is
there complications.
Please can anyone clarify.
Also for an aluminium electrolytic cap, is there a way to calculate
the ESR value if it is not not given by the manufacturer?
Cheers
Vivek.
