[SI-LIST] Re: EMC Society contribution to SI

Hi Charles,

This is welcome news. I don't know much about either SI or EMC. That is why,
I still consider them as kids of same family. Twins? Maybe or maybe not.
So, this is an opportunity to know similarities and differences.

As TC10 Chair, what do you consider as specific areas that clearly
differentiate SI and EMC as separate disciplines where you see need for
cross pollination?

I am all eager to join. I am IEEE EMC member (Is that a requirement?).

Regards,
Sainath

Hello all,

The cross pollination of SI and EMC
is well underway. I would
like to remind the SI practitioners on this
list of two major events:

a) The formation of TC10 - The
Signal Integrity Committee.
(website: http://www.ewh.ieee.org/soc/emcs/tc10/ ).

This committee is designed for closer ties
between the two disciplines. I would
ask anyone from the SI disipline to
contribute.

b) There upcoming IEEE Conference on EMC
in mid August in Minneapolis Minn.
This would be an ideal time to meet
and discuss the burning issues and
meet the industry experts.

Hope to see you there

Charles Grasso
