Apple is looking for an iPod/iPhone Display Electrical Engineer to design
and develop mobile display electronics and to support the liquid crystal
displays (LCD) development in system integration. This individual will
serve as a focal point in optimizing the display performance in system
application, working with cross-functional teams for display integration,
and developing prototype for initial display validation.
Major job responsibilities include:
- System prototype bring up, debugging, functional verification, and
signal characterization
- LCD module electronics design
- Display flex circuit design (schematic, layout, and validation)
- LCD initialization firmware development
- Some manufacturing support
- High speed serial link design and debug
Required Experience
- Board design and bring up experience: both analog and digital
- Must have solid EE fundamentals
- Experience with in ASIC design and high speed serial signals is desired
- Ability to write and read code (C/C++)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and people skills are
required.
- Position will require some international travel
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus a
minimum 5 years experience.
- Experience in developing and manufacturing high volume display products
is a plus
