Chai,
The figures bellow are an indication of the 'resistance' of the
transistors (UP or DOWN). Which means that if you will drive low for a load
which will sink 4mA into the NCH, the output voltage will not raise above
0.4V If you will drive high and the load will source 4mA, then the output
voltage will not drop bellow 2.4V. The currents mentioned are TEST_CURRENT,
namely these are not the max mA the driver can drive.
I believe that in the IBIS you have the drive capabilities in mA
drive which is in the 10's or even 100's of mA. The current (this one) is
not continues current BUT peak current to charge/discharge the load.
Hop it helps, yehuda

Subject: [SI-LIST] Driving current
Dear all,
I have a question regarding the driving currents of IC.
Say, I get the following information from the Data Sheet:
Iol=4mA at Vol=0.4V
Ioh=-4mA at Voh=2.4V
How can I extract the same infomation from the IBIS?
I presume that the Ioh and Iol will be extracted from the Pullup and
Pulldown VI tables. But I discover that the Pullup and Pulldown currents in
the IBIS are always much larger as compared to currents given in Data Sheet.
Can someone please explain this to me?
Thank you very much in advance.

Chai
