Michael,
Thank you very much for reply. In my version 3.2 IBIS model, the R_load =
100. You mentioned "If the [Ramp] in the original 3.2 file used a 50 ohm load,
you should have a
1.1-compliant IBIS file after the changes". Does it mean I can't convert it to
version 1.1 if the load is not 50ohm?
thanks,
Linda

Linda,
Assuming the file is relatively simple and built correctly, you can do
this conversion manually by deleting the V-t tables (the keywords
[Rising Waveform] and [Falling Waveform] and the data with them).
Change the [IBIS Ver] entry to "1.1" and run the IBISCHK4 parser on the
file. Remove any keywords or subparameters that cause errors. If the
[Ramp] in the original 3.2 file used a 50 ohm load, you should have a
1.1-compliant IBIS file after the changes.
Note that you may lose more than a little detail in the response of the
buffer -- IBIS 1.1 only supported simple ramp rates under the [Ramp]
keyword. Other useful keywords and buffer types are not supported under
IBIS 1.1 either. In other words, the conversion may give you a file
that is compliant to 1.1, but is far less useful!

version 1.1?
The IBIS to PSPICE converter only works for IBIS version 1.1, but the
vendor gives me the IBIS model of version 3.2. I have to run it in
PSPICE. Does anyone know how to convert ver 3.2 to ver 1.1? Thank you in
advacne.
