[SI-LIST] Re: Current carrying cap - microvia

Hi Mitch,

Well, as a guess couldn't you assume that the via was actually a wire and
then calculate the current carrying capacity for a wire that is .005-.006"?
Without much thinking this might give you a ballpark number?

Regards,

Craig Clewell

Subject: [SI-LIST] Current carrying cap - microvia

Hi all,

Anyone have a quick answer for this question?

What's the approximate current carrying capacity of a .005-.006"
microvia? Anyone?

Thanks in advance.

Mitch
