[SI-LIST] Re: Convert IBIS Models Version 3.2 to Version 2.1

Liviu,

It all depends on how many of the 3.2 features they are using.
It is possible that they only have 2.1 content, yet they put
3.2 as the version number, in which case you can just change
the number back to 2.1. However, if they have 3.2 features
in the model you may not be able to do much unless you know
how you can rip apart the model and fool your tool to get the
same behavior as the original model represented for which you
need to know the tool and the IBIS spec and model very well.

Subject: [SI-LIST] Convert IBIS Models Version 3.2 to Version 2.1

Hi,
=20
our SI tool (Mentor`s Signal Vision) can manage only IBIS Models =
Version 2.1
or earlier.
I have found for some chips only IBIS Models Version 3.2.
=20
Is it possible to convert these V3.2 Models to V2.1 ?=20
I am looking for a convert tool (because FBGA456 chips).
