[SI-LIST] Buffer placement

I have a 9 inch stripline for fibre channel (2.125Gbps) interfaces on the 
board. I am planning to use buffer on this stripline. What would be the ideal 
place to keep this buffer, middle or begining or end of the 9" transmission 
line and why?
