John, to add to Charles email I would think the Host PWB Cad tool and the
interfaces would be a significant issue.

John - Your best bet would be to benchmark each tool against a known
structure and compare results with simulation. If both tools accurately
predict the resulting waveform and crosstalk then it boils down to what tool
fits best in your design flow and of course $$$$$$$.

Subject: [SI-LIST] BoardScan by Quantic and HyperLynx by Mentor

Hello all,
This is my first time writing to this List, but here goes:

Our PCB Layout house has suggested using BoardScan by Quantic for Signal
Integrity and Crosstalk analysis. I think HyperLynx by Mentor would be the
better tool. Which tool is better and why?

Best regards,

John
