[SI-LIST] Re: Asymmetric Coupled Stripline

Ken-

I would call "asymmetric coupled stripline" a topology
where a pair of edge coupled stripline conductors are
placed asymmetrically with respect to the upper and lower
ground planes (i.e. the coupled pair is closer to one
plane than the other).

I guess the term could also apply to broadside coupled pairs
placed asymmetrically between planes, since the term 'coupled'
is generic and doesn't identify either edge or broadside
configurations, though with the lack of a specific qualifier
it is usually interpreted to mean edge-coupled.

since you didn't specify that the pairs (either edge or broadside
coupled) were placed asymmetrically with respect to the planes
I am assumming they were placed symmetrically. If so, I'm not sure
what the topology you have described would be termed, but it doesn't
seem to fit the definition of asymmetric coupled stripline.

I don't think I've helped by telling you what the structure
is, but perhaps by identifying what it is not :)
