What version of HSPICE are you using? I remembered a problem I had back
in late 2005. The displayed data lost precision after 100ns and looked
"blocky".
Try the following:
If you are looking at the data in the .tr0 file with Cosmoscope, use
.option post_version=2001
If you are looking at the data in the .lis file with SigWave, use
.option NUMDGT=8 (or some other value that gives the needed precision.
If you are looking at the data in the .mt0 file, use .option MEASDGT=xxx
where xxx is some large enough to display the expected resolution.
Good luck!

Subject: [SI-LIST] Ask help for s-parameter simulation
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"
Dear all,
In one of my simulation work, the Board parameter is extracted as
S-parameter, include cupper, capacitors, inductors.
The simulator is Hspice.
The problem is, when the simulation time is set as 100ns or 1000ns, the
waveform of the first 100ns is different a lot.
Who can tell me that is why and how to adjust it?
Thank you.
