[SI-LIST] Apple has an immediate opening for a Senior High-Speed Interconnect Design Engineer

Senior High-Speed Interconnect Design Engineer
Apple is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (EE) with world-class
expertise in the design and analysis of electrical interconnects. Candidate
will work with mechanical engineers to define and prototype new interconnects
(PCBAs, cables, flex and connectors) and measure performance to determine if
the realized interconnect performance matches the prediction made by the
modeling tools. Candidate will also characterize [and make appropriate
adjustments for] interconnect performance under environmental, mechanical and
electrical stresses. Long-term, the candidate will serve as the "go to" expert
on Interconnects, helping other engineers with implementation.

Requirements:

. BSEE, MSEE or PHD in Electrical Engineering or similar field.

. Experience designing interconnects for high-speed circuits is required.

  Connector-specific experience preferred.

. Expertise in measuring and addressing Insertion Loss, Crosstalk ratio and
  other vital elements/issues.

. Experience writing and interpreting electrical specifications.

. Expertise in designing experiments.

. Lab instruments and measurements including
. VNA (e.g. insertion loss, return loss, crosstalk, etc)
. TDR (e.g. impedance, crosstalk, skew, etc.)
. oscilloscope, (e.g. eye pattern, jitter, signal debug, etc)
. BERT (e.g. bit error rate testing, PRBS stimulus, etc)

. Simulation tools
        . HFSS, CST or similar
        . SPICE, HSPICE
        . ADS, Microwave Studio, NEXXIM
        . StatEye
