It is possible that your copy of s2ibis2.exe uses a command
other than "hspice" to run HSPICE. Or it may be that HSPICE
is running, but not producing the expected .out files. You
might check to see if any files at all have appeared in the
directory. They may give clues as to what is going on.
I use a copy of s2ibis2 source code with my own modifications,
so I may have lost track of how the available s2ibis2 executable
downloads operate. A number of changes must be made to the s2ibis2
source code to make it run on MS Windows, and to fix bugs. I chose
to have the hspice command run by s2ibis2 use the -i and -o options,
but others may have chosen a different strategy. You have to fiddle
with the command string to make it work with different versions of
hspice. Specifically, I found that some versions of HSPICE on
MS Windows refuse to create a listing file with a .out extension.
Changing the code to use a .lis extension for output files fixes
that.

You must insure that the directory containing your hspice program
is in your PATH environment variable. To make sure this is working,
open a DOS command window and type "hspice". An HSPICE window should
open. If not, put the dirctory containing hspice.exe inyour PATH.
