[SI-LIST] Re: 90 degree turn in PCB tracks

Light will become the dominant force but there are still lots of HF
applications that have to be considered in a mostly light circuit such
as how does one power an led or laser to switch on and off at 10GHz?
With light? We first need to create light. How do we clock a chip? How
do we send light data across the internet and address the billions of ip
addresses worldwide? Everyone gets a wavelength?!??!?1=20
Sorry for off topic but I wanted to reassure SI people that there will
always be high speed issues or maybe we will have solved them all by
then?!

In the year 21oo I predict signal transmission=3D20
using light. SI (at least using copper) will fade into the distance!!

I wonder who started the rumor that right angle bends create acid traps.

It is not true and has never been true. Fables die hard, both the right
angle bend causing signal integrity problems and acid traps.

Bet we don't get these flushed out of our profession before 2100 and
maybe
not even then!
