[SI-LIST] Re: 4 Port VNA recommendations?

Hi Jason,
If you have the Agilent NA, you should look at the Agilent PLTS
(Physical Layer Test System) software that is customized for Signal
Integrity data collection. I have been doing TRL calibrations and lots
of 4-Port measurements and the PLTS software controls the network
analyzer to step you through the calibrations and then it provides
immediate data analysis/viewing of time domain single ended and
differential, frequency domain single ended and balanced, and eye
diagram generation. The ease of viewing the data right after taking the
measurement lets one quickly make sure that connectors are on tight and
that things are hooked up correctly. This is also great when making
hand-held differential probing measurements and you want to quickly
check which probe position gives the best data.

The software actually works with Agilent and Tektronix TDR boxes I
believe so it has some flexibility and they are currently in the process
of releasing the 12-Port version. The software is not cheap, but then
again if you make use of the user support this is a great way of getting
access to some of the experts in the field of signal integrity.

If you are at DesignCon2007 the Agilent booth will be displaying this
software with their 12-Port box.

Subject: [SI-LIST] 4 Port VNA recommendations?

 Hi All,

I'm looking for Pros and Cons of available ~20Ghz 4 Port VNA's. I
noticed there are a few vendors Rohde & Schwarz, Anritsu and Agilent
that have this capability.=3D3D20

I have only used the Agilent PNA and was wondering what the benefits of
the other vendors are. I'm interested in accuracy, ease of
use/calibration, price, support, HW reliability, etc..=3D3D20

Thanks!
