Good Afternoon Everyone and welcome to Sheri's Free Stuff and
Contests Newsletter for Wednesday.

Sorry it has been a few days since I have been able to get a newsletter out. It
has been quite busy around here. I have had several doctors
appointments to go to lately and have been babysitting. So I have not had time
to do much except find a few freebies to post on the board.
I found out last week at my doctors appointment that I have to have a
hysterectomy and bladder repair done this summer. Not looking forward to it
but I know I will feel so much better when it is all over. I also have to have
the gallbladder ultrasound and stomach scope done Next Monday so
everyone keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
I want to say a great big Sheri's Free Stuff Welcome to all of our newest
members! It is great having you with us. If you haven't registered yet on

PECANS IN THE CEMETERY
On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big, old pecan tree
just inside the cemetery fence. One day, two boys filled up a
bucketful of nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began dividing
the nuts.
"One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me," said one boy.
Several dropped and rolled down toward the fence. Another boy came
riding along the road on his bicycle. As he passed, he thought he heard
voices from inside the cemetery. He slowed down to investigate. Sure
enough, he heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me."
He just knew what it was. "Oh my", he shuddered, it's Satan and
the Lord dividing the souls at the cemetery. He jumped back on his bike
and rode off.
Just around the bend he met an old man with a cane, hobbling along.
"Come here quick," said the boy, "you won't believe what I heard!
Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing up the souls."
The man said, "Beat it kid, can't you see it's hard for me to walk."
When the boy insisted though, the man hobbled to the cemetery.
Standing by the fence they heard, "One for you, one for me. One for
you, one for me..."
The old man whispered, "Boy, you've been tellin' the truth. Let's
see if we can see the Lord himself." Shaking with fear, they peered through
the fence, yet were still unable to see anything. The old man and
the boy gripped the wrought iron bars of the fence tighter and tighter as
they tried to get a glimpse of the Lord.
At last they heard, "One for you, one for me." And one last "One
for you, one for me. That's all. Now let's go get those nuts by the fence,
and we'll be done."
... They say the old man made it back to town a full 5 minutes ahead of
the boy on the bike.

From Our Recipe Corner:
GRAHAM CRACKER FLUFF
Filling
1 envelope unflavored gelatine
1/2 C. cold water
1/2 C. granulated sugar
3/4 C. milk
2 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 C. whipped cream
Soak the gelatine in the cold water. Set aside.
Mix the sugar, milk and egg yolks in a saucepan. Cook for 1 minute,
stirring all the time. Remove from heat and add the gelatin and vanilla.
Set in a cool place until it begins to thicken.
Beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold the whites and whipped cream into
the thickened gelatine mixture. Mix well. Set aside.
Crust
1 1/2 T. butter
3 T. brown sugar
12 graham crackers (3/4 cup), crushed
Melt butter and brown sugar and mix with the graham cracker crumbs. Line
the bottom of a 8-inch square pan with half of the crumbs. Pour in the
filling. Top with remaining crumbs and chill until ready to serve.
