Just trying to get the word out about this small issue with
CachemanXP and alternate shells.
If you're running a shell which isn't specified in your
Winlogon/Shell key. (For example testing other shells, using
shell switchers etc.) the tray icon won't work unless you do
something specific:
,----- [ CachemanXP help file ]
| You must let CachemanXP know the name of your Shell executable,
| to do it create a new Shell , example for LiteStep:
|
| [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CachemanXP]
| "Shell"="Litestep.exe"
`-----
Good to see some applications considering us alternative shell
users. :)
Unfortunately people will simply get the impression that alt
shells don't support this icon when they're just testing a shell.
