Apache Mods was the plugin architecture I was thinking of when I spoke
of looking to Linux for ideas. I can not comment on IIS ISAPI extension
architecture because I've never dared touch IIS :)
However, the apache plugin architecture would not address the GUI items
being discussed here, such as containers and the likes. In any case, once
again I am too tired to write out my input on the proposed standard. Maybe
next time.
