[SRHR] new mailing list (last one, I swear!)

Hi again everyone!

OK, so the Google list wasn't working out, since we only were getting
replies from about 1/4 to 1/3 of the group in order to add them to it. In
order to keep everyone on the mailing list, and try to keep everyone on a
single, easily manageable list (did I spell that right? my brain's a bit
fuzzy at the moment, sorry =P), I looked for alternatives. What I found was
a nice and free mailing list site that prefers to keep their
lists/discussion groups to science and technology based topics, called
FreeLists.org. This obviously appealed to me, so I looked into it a bit
more and applied for a mailing list.

Here's all the information for the new list:

email address to send everyone a message: scienceandreason.hr@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

to subscribe/unsubscribe to the list: a 2-step process:
                    - send an email to:
scienceandreason.hr-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the subject "subscribe" or
"unsubscribe".
                    - follow the instructions in the confirmation email you
receive (a simple reply to the email)

I have added almost everyone to the mailing list already, since it allowed
me to do so manually. If you would like to be removed from the list, either
unsubscribe yourself as instructed above, or let me know and I'll do it for
you. Those who were not added to the list manually have been contacted
separately already.

We are hoping this will make things easier for everyone in the long run in
order to keep the mailing list running smoothly. If you every change your
email address, you can simply subscribe/unsubscribe your new/old email
addresses to the mailing list. And Larry and anyone else who regularly
sends messages out about the meetings and anything else for the group, can
more easily direct them to everyone.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me. If you'd like
to assist me in managing the list, or could help me with developing the
handful of textfiles and the one html webpage for the new list, please do
contact me (and thanks in advance!).
