Dear sir,
That is really a terrible thing. I heard that they use M S SQLServer
2000 for the software. It is an old and obsolete software and It costs
a huge sum for use in a single computer. Also the software they
brought is only for this project, after the completion of the census,
the they will discard the software.
It was possible to do that software in GNU/Linux using PHP/Python and
MySQL. If they do so the only cost occurred was the development
charges.
I dont know how can we educate the authorities about these things. You
know, you can wake up someone who is asleep, but it is much more
difficult to wake up someone who is pretending to be asleep
