[School-GNU-Linux] Re: shut down problem

Dear Tintu,

What i understand is that you unknowingly selected xdm as your display manager.
Hope you have your IT@School cd with you.

You have to edit a small configuration file to fix the problem.

Open the file /etc/X11/default-display-manager
(Make sure that you open the file as root)

in the file that opens up, change xdm to gdm.
Hope this will fix the problem.
