There are two methods to setup Dataone
1) Username and password is set into the modem itself and use it as a
gateway to internet.
2) username and password is set in the system and connect via pppoe
if your connection is configured in the first way, in the network
settings of your computer, you have to specify the gate way as modems
ip address and set the DNS also. You can get these information with
the ipconfig command in a windows machine which is connected to
internet.
if your setup is of type 2, then turn on the modem and run the command
pppoeconf as root user in the system connected to the modem. To share
