Sir,
Make sure you have installed both base system and the other packages by
typing
some graphical tools name(gedit,gimp ....) in partial and then press tab to
autocomplete
if the auto completion is not working try rajaneesh's comment
1. first insert the itschool@school GNU/Linux cd
2. after that login as root
3. then type tasksel press enter
4 after that you will get a textbox for package selection
select the it@school package(first one) by pressing space bar
then you will get a star sign(this means you have selected the
package)
install it
if autocompletion is working then you have to install gdm
by the command as root
apt-get install gdm
