I thing your package is not installed.You haven't selected the package
pressing space bar.For this problem do the following things
1.first insert the itschool@school GNU/Linux cd
2.after that login as root
3.then type tasksel press enter
4 after that you will get a textbox for package selection
select the it@school package(first one) by pressing space bar
then you will get a star sign(this means you have selected the package)
