The CD writing utility K3B is troublesome in many systems including mine. In
some systems, it does not detect the CD drive, (But gnome baker does the
same!) and in some others, it shows that no space in the temp storage. In my
system, it shows an error message: error while analyzing sound
server-device:- defaults cant be opened for play back. (Device or resource
busy.) The sound server will continue, using the null output device. The
error happens exactly at 50% of the process.
2. To connect my mobile phone gprs with my system, I downloaded and
installed *easy connect* from the net. The installation was fine but one
error on gtk2:trayIcon which I installed from original debian DVD. Then I
made a launcher to make it openable with the command gprsec. My phone is
nokia 3210, connection is Airtel and the USB connector is DKU 2. But the
connection is not establishing, showing the message that "check your
phone-whether it is switched off?" I tried all the ports ttys0 to s8 which
is the only variable parameter available in the window. But the connection
is fine in windows where the access point is Airtel (India), but that is
airtelgprs in ecconnect. What I can do now?
3. Its about the motherboard gigabite 900. The SATA HDD is detecting as IDE
3 PATA(?). The PATA CDD is detecting as IDE 0 master. Any how, On
installation, the hard disc driver is asking at the time of disk detection.
It's a list of some 100 drivers there; I tried first two, but failed. I
called many experts including space. Mr. Binu, from Trivandrum finally
confirmed that the board may not be suitable, seeing the disc detection
pattern. We changed the board to Intel original 945 and then we could see
that the installation is complete within 15 minutes!
