Dear Jayan,

Please try the latest kernel

Add the new GNU/lInux CD (IT@School 3.2) with synaptic package manager
(Edit -> Add CDROM) and search for linux-image in synaptic. Install
the latest kernel ( linux-image-2.6.24) and reboot the system.

or download the kernel from
:http://http.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/l/linux-latest-2.6-etchnhalf/linux-image-2.6-486-etchnhalf_2.6.24+13~etchnhalf.1_i386.deb

and install it with the command : dpkg -i
linux-image-2.6-486-etchnhalf_2.6.24+13~etchnhalf.1_i386.deb
