[School-GNU-Linux] Re: Installing printer

For installing  USB Printers
Connect the Printer to the USB port then
open a root terminal and give the command
#printconf
Again go to
step 1
Desktop->Administration->printing
set as local printer and click on forward button
Connected Printer automatically displayed on manufatures name
select the printer model
For installing the parallel printers step 1 is only needed.
Linux Printer drivers are available in
 hplip 2.7.7 (hplip.sourceforge.net) and
TVSE. web site
