Sir,
Myself Girish. Working as a Computer Technician. I have successfully
installed School Linux at many schools. But i have some problems with some
motherboards which i would like to share with you. And also need your help
to solve the problems.
Both the problems are related to Sata HDD Not detecting (No partitionable
Media found). For this issue i had downloaded the iso file and created the
cd from this link.
You can try the latest debian installer from
http://mirror.home-dn.net/d-i/2.6.19/sarge-custom-1115.iso
Now the problem is:
1) First case, Motherboard Intel 102 GGCL, I was able to detected
partitions and install the base installer. but i was not able to continue
with the IT@School CD package installation. When i am typing the commands
apt-cdrom add and then tasksel i am getting only Printer installation, Mail
installation and manual package selection only. I am not getting the
IT@School package selection.
2) Second case, Motherboard ASUS A8V-VM, In this board the base installer
cd did not report any errors but it did not list the existing partitions
when i select the manual partition option.
Could you please tell me how to solve this problems. This is very
emergence case. So expecting your reply soon.
Girish.
