[School-GNU-Linux] IT @School Gnu/Linux Installation on Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6550@xxxxxxx

Unable to install IT @School Gnu/Linux Lite, 3.0 on Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6550
@ 2.33Ghz , 160 GB SATA Raid Samsung HDD, 1GB DDR2 , DG33FB Mother Board,
DVD Writer,CD R/W . Win XP with SP2 was installed. Older XP cannot be
installed.
On Installing fIT @School Gnu/Linux Lite, 3.0 from CD, identifies CPU, then
th following lines are seen :
ACPI: Interpretter enabled
ACPI: (Supports s0 s1 s3 s4 s5)
ACPI: Using IOAPIC for interrupt routing
ACPI: PCI Root Bridge[PCI0][0000:00]
after this line the curser is simply blinking and the computer doesn't do any
further installation . How can get the OS installed?
