Desktop --> Administration --> StartUp-Manager. Don't know any thing about 
kernal upgrading. If you got some information please inform me too.

I use XP and Linux on the same system, now the default OS is Linux. How can i 
set the default selection of OS choose menu in between Linux and Windows by 
editing the grub. I also want to update my kernel to 3.8 Please help
