Engineer-Civil Projects (Staff = Level 1)

The purpose of this position is: 
Support the Section in= coordination and controlling Civil-Geotechnical for
non mining projects at= High Land area by providing engineering
recommendation, maintain and devel= op the existing and future databases and
monitoring system as listed on the= Civil-Geotech Risk Management System; in
order to ensure all Civil-Geotech= nical aspects for non mining project are
comply with company and internatio= nal standards and to support
department'sshort and long-term goals.

Main responsibilities of this position are: 
1= . Perform geotechnical inspection, investigation, engineering assessment
d= esign and present the result to the relevant parties, in order to allow
the= m to assess the progress and make decision with valid and reliable
informat= ion mainly for the long term projects. 
2. Organizing field and laborato= ry geotechnical investigation at Highland
as required in supporting the Sec= tion and other departments for current
andfuture projects; and provide rep= orts accordingly and recommendation as
required. 
3. Carry out regular i= nspection to the High Land project areas as
scheduledand provide recommend= ation as required and ensuring the
implementation; and Provide civil geotec= hnical support to remote
communities and response to any emergency call ins= tantly. 
4. Maintain communication with internal and external parties wh= o include
auditors, consultants, and authorities in regard with Civil-Geote= chnical
issues to ensure the recommendation are effectively communicated. 5.
Maintainand develop Geotechnical database risk evaluation along main= road
from and Wanagon Valley database (prepare geotechical risk map and pr= ovide
recommendation for critical areas). 
6. Maintain and develop Geote= chnical risk database along HEAT road and
provide recommendation for critic= al areas. 
7. Maintain and develop Soil Laboratory Databases in coordina= tion with
Sucofindo and Geo Data Services Department to ensure that all soi= l testing
are undertaken based on standards, well recorded and managed, and= easy to
beaccessed by clients and other parties who needed. 
8. Develo= p and set up a Risk Database for Townsite area includes Hidden
Valley, Rain= bow Ridge, 68 housing complexes and Ridge Camp and 68 barracks
(provide a r= isk map and socialized to the related parties). 
9. Prepare, ensure and = undertake installation of any monitoring
instrumentsat critical areas (inc= luding alarm system) at the non-mining
infrastructures and projects at surr= ounding PTFI environment. 
10. Undertake regular reading for all monitor= ing instruments under his/her
responsibility and setup the early warning sy= stem related to each
area/projects to be disseminated to relevant clients/p= arties. 
11. Maintain and improve section safety performance by enforcin= g and
following company Standards to meet the PT Freeport Indonesia Safety = and
Environmental Programs and standards so that there will be no fatalitie= s
orinjuries within the section or contractors under section's responsibil=
ities.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succ= eed in this
job are:
=E2=80=A2 S1 degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engine= ering with minimum 3
years working experience on civil-geotechnical project= s, preferably in
mining industry. 
=E2=80=A2 Strong communication skill = and presentation skill. 
=E2=80=A2 Good understanding in geotechnical an= d geological knowledge. 
=E2=80=A2 Good understanding in field and geote= chnical laboratory
procedure. 
=E2=80=A2 Familiar with practical geotech= nical engineering software such
asSLOPE/W, PLAXIS. ROCKFALL, etc. 
=E2= =80=A2 Familiar with CAD engineering software such as AutoCAD and
AutoDESK.= 
=E2=80=A2 Fluently in English both writing and oral. 
=E2=80=A2 Abl= e to drive a car.
