Total Experience Re= quired : 4 =E2=80=93 6 years



Mandatory Skills :


Experience administering Cognos environments in both Windows and = Unix
(ideally, HPUX) environments, minimum 2 years 
Working knowledge of= Cognos multi-server administration 
Cognos products (Series 7, ReportNe= t) upgrades 
Creating Connection definition in Cognos , Create Cognos Ac= count on each
Data source, Import Metadata , Publish Packages, Publish Repo= rt 
Should have an overall understanding of how data warehousing and web= -based
business intelligence solutions work 
Working knowledge of apache= server 
Unix skills to aid in installation


Hard Skills Skil= l Level (Skill level on a scale of 1-6 with 6 as highest
technical expertis= e and 1 knowledge only)

Responsibilities



Responsible for the ongoing Cogn= os administration of a distributed,
multi-server Cognos environment, which = including backup, restore, release
upgrades, troubleshooting, and technical= support. 
Working in conjunction with Data Warehouse Architects, Analys= ts,
Administrators, Cognos Developers, and ETL experts, you will build busi=
nessintelligence solutions. 
Experience administering Cognos environmen= ts in both Windows and Unix
(ideally, HPUX) environments. 
You will need= strong knowledge of the Cognos security model 
Working knowledge of Cog= nos multi-server administration. 
Creating Connection definition in Cogn= os , Create Cognos Account on each
Data source , 
Import Metadata 
Pu= blish Packages, Publish Report. 
Knowledge of Oracle database administra= tion plus. 
Should have a solid overall understanding of how data wareho= using and
web-based business intelligence solutions work. 
Strong verbal= and written communication skills,
