[sccc_chat] Re: Well, Barbara and I are Grandparents now!

Congrats, Stan and Rickard!

At least that girl won't lose her credit card: her name is written in big font
on the card!  Hey, just getting her started on all the (very) bad jokes she's
bound to hear over the years...

So now I have a REAL excuse for going even slower!  Little Visa (roughly
translated from Swedish meaning "song of life") arrived this morning about 6:15
am at 7 lbs, 11 oz at Kaiser Homestead. My daughter Rachel went into labor at 1
pm yesterday but wasn't fully dialated until about midnight.  She pushed with
all her might from midnight until around 5 am; Visa was properly head-down but
she was facing the wrong way.  As much as Rachel did not want a C-section,
there wasn't much choice by 5 am.  Mom and baby are doing great, Rickard is
holding lil' Visa a lot of the time so mom can get some rest as she definitely
has "hit the wall".  I went at lunch and the nurse was showing Rickard and
Rachel how to properly swaddle Visa; immediately after being bound up, she fell
straight away to sleep within about 10-15 seconds!
Well, see all soon on the road --- whew!  Now grandpa needs some rest!  Barbara
is at home sacked out after being up for about 30 hours.
