[sccc_chat] Re: Lost innocence

Hey all you lemon heads thanks for all the good emails. I can't speak for
Diesel but on the mend and feeling OK today. Hope THE DIESEL can report the
same. B

So sorry to hear this bad news. I hope you guys didn't do an oral implant into
the tarmac. Dentist bills can be killer! Keep an eye on that elbow. Bone
chips typically dissolve but bone chips in joints are another matter.

I finally joined the ranks of the real cyclists who have made hard contact
with the blacktop. After a small skirmish involving me, Brian and 2 unlucky
guys right behind us on Foothill expressway, it turns out I have bone chips
detached from my right clavicle and right elbow. Buy shares in Advil now, you
will do well! I am planning on working through it as fine motor function seems
ok, won't be doing any tough extractions though. Brian looks worse (then
again...........) due to rash inflicted by me running over his leg. Bikes are
ok, so, to quote Monty Python, " its only a flesh wound". Now I know what you
mean when you say keep the rubber side down! It might be a few weeks before I
can ride, hope to be back in the saddle soon.
Safe riding all,
