[samscommunity] St. Andrews students participate in 2008 election

MESSAGE FROM ST. ANDREWS MIDDLE SCHOOL:


The Social Studies department wants to let the school and community know that 
our students will participate in the historical 2008 election by voting on 
National Mock Election day, which is October 30th.  The computers in the 
computer lab will be set up for students to vote online.  The Social Studies 
teachers will take their classes to the library that day to let them 
participate in this exciting process.



Additionally, Social Studies night is October 23rd.  We will have students 
participating in a presidential and vice-presidential debate, followed by the 
opportunity for parents to participate in the mock election voting process as 
well (computers will be ready in the library for online voting).  Please come 
out and support our students that night as they compete in their respective 
debates.  Students who attend Social Studies night will receive extra credit in 
their Social Studies classes.
