It's because the other teachers are being paid more. It's a business just = like everything else. They label kids with disabilities and the state = pays the schools a huge fee for extra training. So if you have a school with 1300 students and 500 are labeled with a disability you have a = major profit. It's a business....its our children...they call this United, I know what I call it. Its enough to make you sick. Your = district may influence the pay of the teachers. Have you ever thought of = asking the school the qualifications to teach at their schools? The = answer will amaze you, trust me, most subs and many teachers are not qualified. What about the lottery who's pocket is it = padding? To: samscommunity@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [samscommunity] School Report Cards Just to voice some concern, I am an involved parent and try to make sure = that my kids get what they need and more from their education, but = yesterday in the paper I say the report card for a lot of District One = schools and was very disappointed. What is happening? Why is it that the = "other" schools are getting better ratings than our schools? I'm = concerned about this and want to find out what I can do to help solve this = problem because I want my children, and that's any child that I can be a = parent to, to get the best education possible. But it seems that if we = don't live in the predominantly white neighborhoods, our children are left = behind. Tell me who I need to address on this matter because something = needs to be done about this matter and fast before our children are = extinct.
