Sixth District Congressman and House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn is
partnering with the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America
(NACA) to help homeowners struggling to pay their mortgage restructure
their loans. At Congressman Clyburn’s invitation, NACA will bring its
extraordinarily successful “Save the Dream Tour” to the Carolina
Coliseum in Columbia, South Carolina the weekend of March 13-15.
Hundreds of NACA counselors will be providing the best solution to tens
of thousands of homeowners.
NACA has the most effective long-term mortgage solution for at-risk
homeowners because it permanently reduces the interest rate to as low as
3% and if necessary reduces the outstanding principal based on what the
homeowner can afford. NACA’s restructure solution has established the
national standard for long-term solutions for thousands of
owner-occupant homeowners. NACA can do this because it has secured
legally binding agreements with most of the major lenders and investors
which covers 90% of the at-risk homeowners. All of NACA’s services are
free.
“NACA has helped thousands of homeowners keep their homes despite the
challenging economic times and the prevalence of predatory mortgages,”
Congressman Clyburn said. “There is a tremendous need here in South
Carolina, and NACA is able to provide immediate solutions to many
homeowners. I want people to walk away with an affordable mortgage and a
financial education, and that is exactly the service that NACA
provides.”
“We appreciate Congressman Clyburn’s work in hosting NACA in South
Carolina. While the NACA solution sounds too good to be true it is the
reality for tens of thousands of homeowners. The only true solution is a
permanent one. NACA, along with Congressman Clyburn will be providing
this to thousands of homeowners many on the same day. People from South
Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia are expected to travel to Columbia
for this tremendous opportunity,” states NACA CEO Bruce Marks.
Homeowner Fay Togba of Georgia is just one of many examples. Her
interest rate went from 10% to 3% fixed. “I’m so grateful NACA was
able to save my home. They made my mortgage payment something that I can
live with for the rest of my life. I’m saving more than $1,600 a
month.”
This free event is open to homeowners in financial difficulty who own
only one property and occupy that home. They will need to bring their
mortgage statement and their most recent 30 days of paystubs to the
event. Pre-registration is encouraged and can be done by calling
888-302-6222.
