MESSAGE FROM ST. ANDREWS MIDDLE SCHOOL:
S. C. Governor's School of the Arts and Humanities Summer Programs 2009:
Discovery Summer Program July 19 - August 1, 2009: Intensive two-week training
in
creative writing, drama, music or visual arts for rising 9th grade students.
South
Carolina residency is required. Students apply while in the 8th grade.
Academy Summer Program July 5-18, 2009: Intensive two-week training in creative
writing, drama, music or visual arts for rising 10th grade students. South
Carolina
residency is required. Students apply while in the 9th grade.
Summer Dance 2009 July 5-August 1, 2009: Intensive four-week training in ballet
and modern dance for rising 7th-12th grade students (students apply in 6th-11th
grades, but must be at least 12 years old by June 1, 2009 to attend). South
Carolina
residency is not required for this program.

S. C. Governor's School for Science and Math Summer Program 2009:
SSP is a residential summer camp for rising 8th, 9th and 10th graders from
across the state and qualified applicants from out-of-state. Designed for
talented young teens interested in scientific principles, enriching field trips
and hands-on lab experiences, SSP sessions are taught by GSSM faculty along
with college and university professors from state institutions such as the
University of South Carolina, Clafin University, Newberry College and The
Citadel.
